I've finally decided to get them! I want to practice digital art and take my own photos for reference for my work to avoid all sorts of copyright problems.
To help pay for them I'm taking commissions! My goal is $100. I'll be taking $5 commissions (finished drawings) and $10 commissions (watercolor paintings/colored pencils).
I will do:
*original characters
*fan art
*up to 2 characters per drawing/painting
*simple backgrounds (a few buildings, not a whole city)
*fantasy creatures (ranging from cute to monsters)
I will not do:
*anything inappropriate (porn, smut, dead babies, etc.)
*anything I consider to be more time than it's worth (horribly complicated, way too much detail, etc.)
I just got done with a big exam and 2 art projects so I have some time to do some work on the side!
I'm really excited to take commissions again after I get my own tablet and camera. I can't wait to use digital art again! I think now that I have a better grasp on traditional media, I may understand how to use digital media better than before.

*UPDATE*
If you'd like to purchase the actual drawing/painting (ordering a commission is different than buying the actual piece) then I'll charge twice as much as it cost to have it commissioned (drawings will cost $10 and paintings/colored pencil works will cost $20) and I'll charge $2 for shipping.
Include it in the note if you'd like to own your commission. Ex: Say you'd like a drawing and for it to be sent to you. It'll be $5 for commissioning me in the first place, then an additional $10 to purchase the actual drawing itself, and $2 for the shipping = $17.

Omg I really would buy one but my mams always like ...no. She's like 'why would you want to buy a drawing of someone else when you can draw fine yourself??? I'm like I can draw ok but these people are mint!!!...She still says no.

Hahaha thank goodness no one has actually asked me for a commission of dead babies but you never know, someone could be into that kind of stuff!
All of my oldest work in my gallery is digital (or at least colored digitally) and I enjoyed it but I had a LOT to learn at that point.

At least thats what mine came with. Have you used one already? It takes a bit to get used to. Don't get discouraged about it, the learning curve is high. It's like learning to use the mouse all over again.
I love mine and splerged bigtime on it. But I am counting it as a tax write off for my buisness. I think it may have to be a a depriessiated rate but still its like the government is paying for it (over the long term).
